Greece Launches Pet Evacuation Operation Amid Middle East Conflict
Greece has initiated a special evacuation effort to rescue pets along with their owners stranded in the Middle East due to the ongoing conflict.
A government-organised flight operated by Aegean Airlines departed from Abu Dhabi and safely transported 101 people along with 45 pets back to Athens.
Emotional scenes were witnessed at Athens airport as relieved passengers reunited with their pets, with small dogs jumping out of their travel carriers. The evacuation comes at a time when several countries have shut their airspace, making travel in the region increasingly difficult.
