Autumn Durald Arkapaw made history at the 98th Academy Awards by becoming the first woman—and the first Black woman—to win the Best Cinematography award in the Oscars’ 98-year history.

Accepting the honour, she thanked and acknowledged the women in the industry, saying she wanted all the women in the room to stand up, adding that she wouldn’t have reached this milestone without their support.

She received the award for her work in Sinners, which had a successful night at the ceremony by winning a total of four Oscars.
