Baltej Singh Named Publicly After Losing Anonymity Bid in New Zealand Drug Case
Baltej Singh, nephew of one of the assassins of Indira Gandhi, has been publicly identified by New Zealand media for the first time in connection with the country’s largest drug trafficking case. His identity was revealed after a failed legal attempt to keep his name confidential. Singh is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to importing 700 kilograms of methamphetamine—the biggest drug seizure ever recorded in New Zealand.
